Sustainable Transport

The Grafton hospital campus is a microcosm of Auckland City and its desperate congestion issues. The sustainable transport project is a partnership between the ADHB performance improvement team and the DHW lab, to encourage public transport, cycling and walking to the hospital campus.

Through infographics, the Lab has developed an Identity for the project as well as supporting workshops with staff and public about the nature of the transport problem at Grafton. A post-graduate design/ research project is currently underway investigating methods of changing behaviour around car usage among staff and its implications on the accessibility of the hospital for patients.
