Look & Feel Guideline

Disjointed and inconsistent public environments are confusing for patients and hospital visitors. This guideline makes inroads into how public environments might become more comfortable, welcoming and useful for everyone. It is a strategy for helping the hospital better consider the role of its public spaces and inform practical
refurbishment decisions.

This document hangs around a simple narrative: our Pepeha is a way of introducing ourselves, acknowledging our identity, relationship to the land, and those who have gone before us. Four photographs represent our Pepeha - they can be
seen as a story for our four types of public spaces. 

This document also covers key design principles for aspects such as lighting, furniture, planting colour and accessibility.
